PHYSIO FINESSE
LONDON
Physiotherapy in Victoria, Belgravia and Parsons Green

THE TEAM
Sue and Maria have been friends and colleagues for many years and they have now combined forces to become Physio Finesse, with two clinic sites, one in Belgravia (just a 5 minutes walk from Victoria station) and the other in Parsons Green (round the corner from Parsons Green station). Both venues have full gym access allowing you to embark on a complete rehabilitation programme with your Physiotherapist.

Sue and Maria are privileged to work alongside some of London's best physicians, surgeons, health care professionals and trainers. Where indicated and with your consent, Sue and Maria may involve these practitioners in your journey to wellness, allowing a united approach to help you become pain free as quickly as possible.

Sue Donnelly
Physiotherapist
Sue is an Irish physiotherapist who graduated from University College Dublin in 2004. She completed all of her rotational post-graduate training in teaching hospitals in Dublin. This involved working in all areas of physiotherapy including Neurology, Respiratory, Critical care, Oncology, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal.

In 2006, she got the travel bug and spent 4 months in South America before arriving and deciding to settle in Queenstown, New Zealand, where her passion for Sports Medicine became apparent. Here, she worked with many athletes and indeed injuries, from a variety of sports including skiing/snowboarding, downhill biking, sailing, sky diving, boxing, soccer, golf and of course rugby! She also got the unique experience of working as a soft tissue therapist with the All Blacks and the Australasian PGA golf tour. In 2010, she moved back to Ireland and began to work in a foot and ankle clinic as well as a sports injury clinic in Dublin. Here, she worked with two amazing therapists who encouraged her to continue her education. With this in mind, she decided to move to London in 2011 to do a Masters in Kings College in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Science. This was an extremely challenging masters which made her question all aspects of her profession and really realise the huge and empowering impact a physiotherapist can have on a patient. She gained an insight into the effects pain can have on all aspects of life and learnt to appreciate the major link between the mind and body.
Once her masters was completed, she worked at Kensington Physio and Sports Medicine for 3 years before moving to Beyond Health in Parsons Green in 2015, where she became Clinical Director in November 2016 until August 2019. During her time in London, she has had the pleasure of working privately with many professional golfers and tennis players as well as many actors, comedians and performing artists.

Maria Wrenn

Maria qualified from Nottingham University in 2003 and after working for a number of years within the NHS working in all areas of Physiotherapy including Neurology, Respiratory, Critical Care , Oncology and Musculoskeletal. She has worked in private practice since 2011.
She has gained experience in treating a wide range of pathologies and injuries and uses an evidence based approach to restore function and target pain as quickly as possible. She is passionate about her job and her patients and focusses on delivering the highest quality of patient care in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Her main aim is to establish the root of the problem and work together with her patients using a combination of manual techniques, acupuncture, Pilates, exercises and advice to reach her patient's goals. She understands that no two people or injuries are the same, which is why she creates a custom-made recovery and rehabilitation plan for each patient. She wants to help her patients to engage in the activities and sports that they are passionate about.

As well as all musculoskeletal conditions, Maria also treats women's health conditions including pre/post natal care, rectus diastasis and symphysis pubis dysfunction and she is POGP trained in womens continence. She also has training in post breast cancer rehabilitation and care.
